The geographical collocation of the resort makes it easy to be reached from turistic places like Lucca and Montecatini Terme (15 km.), Pisa (30 km.), Firenze (60 km.), and it is only 30km far from the sea of Versilia. It is also pretty close to town of Garfagnana and from the luxurious villas of Lucca will offer to its guests innumerable places to visit. Montecarlo, in province of Lucca, is a little capital of wine and its fame runs across centuries: the stronghold and surrounding hills had the name of “vivinaia”, name of the zone of supply for the Roman markets of wine.

The historical center, well preserved and still surrounded by a beautiful wall of bricks, is on an isolated hill. All around, on the surrounding hills, there are the cultivations for the production of the Montecarlo D.O.C., of oil and flowers: the Market of September, which shows the best of these local productions, is enriched by many events and local attractions, which every year recall many companies and fans as well.
