Il Cargedo, located in Mulazzo on the green and quite Lunigiana hills, gives the possibility for relaxing holidays, to discover the landscape, the culture and the dishes of Tuscany and to expolre the wanderful coasts of west Liguria and Versilia.

The manor house, located among the olive grove and orchard, has four double bedrooms, with the possibility of adding a third bed. Tastefully furnished, each has a private bathroom and terrace overlooking the olive trees. The breakfast and dinner room is warm and cozy and can accommodate a maximum of 12 people in an intimate, family atmosphere.

With prior reservation , it is possible to dine on the premises. The cuisine, one of the strengths of the hospitality, consists of traditional dishes and more, and includes the use of raw materials from the farm or purchased from farms or small producers in the area; everything is homemade: from breakfast cakes and sweets, to bread, fresh or stuffed pasta.Extra virgin olive oil made from the farm's olives is used as a condiment for the delicious dishes prepared in the kitchen.

The relaxation room has a small library available to guests. Outside, just a few steps from the rooms, is the swimming pool where guests can enjoy the quiet of the place on comfortable sunbeds and deckchairs and cool off on summer days.

The oven area with adjoining barbecue offers the possibility of cheerful evenings accompanied by tasty pizzas, focaccia, farinata or grilled meat.

The farm and its geocraphical location give the possibility to do various activities inside and in the sourrandings. In the farm you can walk between oaks and chestnuts trees forest or in the fields  where olives and fruits trees are cultivated. It’s quite easy to watch wild animals like wild boars, foxes, squirrels, badgers while hawks fly upun our heads. You can go with the owners of the farm finding wild herbs and vegetables that are the base of the recipe of “torta d’erbi” (herbs pie), a traditional dish of Lunigiana. Cooking courses are indeed arranged upon request. There are also many trekking possibilities in the area: the Lunigiana Trekking, the wonderful paths on the Alpi Apuane, on the Tosco Emiliano National Parc or on the Cinque Terre National Parc.

Lunigiana is also crossed by the “Via Francigena” the ancient pilgrims way connecting Canterbury and Rome that has been recenlty restored. Lunigiana has a considerable cultural heritage, even if it is unkown to most people because it’s outside the classical touristic tours: they say that there are at least 100 castles in this valley (8 in Mulazzo) most of them restored and open to visitors. Lunigiana is proud of its literary tradition that is well represented by the “Premio Bancarella” in Pontremoli or the “Fiera del Libro” in Montereggio.

Many village festivals, mainly in summertime, gladden the visitors with the traditional gastronomic dishes. Il Cargedo is also the ideal base for daily trips to Cinque Terre and La Spezia gulf (Lerici, Montemarcello, Tellaro, Porto Venere), that can be rached in less then 1 hour by car. Pisa end Lucca, the very famous towns in Tuscany, can also be reached in 1 hour driving. The Cargedo owners are available in providing all the information the guests may need to discover this beautiful land and its treasures. Il Cargedo is therefore the ideal place for complete relax week ends or longer periods; for lovers of country life, of sport activity and for who is looking for cultural, artistic and gastronomic heritages that are hidden to tourists crowds.
