The agriturismo
The Farmhouse is situated in an historic and artistic important area near Volterra, completely integrated within the hilly landscape. Here you will find the repose you need. At the same time, you are well connected to the surroundings: Volterra is 10 km far away, San Gimignano 25 km, the distance to the motorway is 60 km and to the seaside 50 km.
The accommodation
"Fontesettimena" consists of two separate unities where 5 guests can be hosted. The apartments are nicely renovated and furnished which creates a familiar atmosphere for spending your holidays.
Two separated apartments with kitchen privileges are at your disposal, nicely restored in Tuscan tradition. Both lead to the wide garden.
Apartment "Rondine"
The name remembers of the arrival of numerous "rondini", swallows, which came each spring before the renovation to build their nests underneath the heavy wooden beams of our beautiful old house.
The apartment is at ground level, surrounded by a wide garden. You are entering a friendly living-room where you find an extensible table from nut wood with four chairs and a lounge beneath a massive old brick arch. There is also a transportable TV with sat-connection.
A door separates the living-room from the kitchen designed with bright wooden furniture and equipped with everything you need: dishes, pots and pans, a comfortable kitchen sink, a gas stove with four flames and a fridge with freezing compartment. The bedroom is furnished with a wrought-iron double bed, a big wardrobe from nut wood, two small chests, a desk and armchairs. The 8 qm big bathroom possesses shower, WC and bidet. It has an own storage water heater.
Apartment "Capriolo"
You are entering the apartment over rustic stone stairs. From its balcony you are able to watch the "caprioli", the deers, grazing on the surrounding fields.
The bedroom is equipped with a big lounge for two persons and a kitchen line with all the necessary kitchenware. The 5 qm big bathroom possesses shower, WC and bidet. It has an own storage water heater. The bedroom is furnished with a wrought-iron double bed, a big wardrobe from nut wood, a desk and armchairs.
Both apartments have an own heating.
