We spent an unforgettable week here last October (2016). It was like a second honeymoon for me and my husband Alex.
Claudio and his small team were so helpful and hospitable. He took us to his vineyard, even though it was the pick of harvest time. They gave awesome tips on where to go, what places to visit, where to eat. Booking a room was easy too - I just provided my cc information, and it worked fine.
Speaking of food - the restaurant is very good. The chef Federico is more than a chef - he is your friend for the time of your stay. Together with his wife, they provide awesome service and treat you so well that you don't want to leave. Breakfast was always delicious, with freshly baked bread, pies, meat, cheeses, fruits, oatmeal, juice and all basics that you need to start your day after a full Italian dinner:) I still have this beautiful picture infront of my eyes - sitting in the terrace and having my morning coffee, looking on the fields and the scinery of Tuscany.
If you decide to make it back for dinner, just tell them in the morning, and you will get the best experience of traditional Tuscan food with Federico's touch! Their wine was great too.
The rooms are very nice, and location is great for visiting all those small medieval towns. Just ask Claudio or Federico, and they will develop a plan for you. It's relatively close to the sea, if you would like to go to the water.
We would love to come back! Hope we will.
Thank you guys!
Nadiia and Alex
Very very nice place! great atmosphere. We loved it and are coming back!
Amazing view, simple living days , perfect clean pool area!
People came from all over the area to eat in the restaurant.
The family are very helpfull and friendly . We are looking forward to seing them again summer 2017
We truly miss this place!
Apparently the estate is run by Claudio and his wife, the "only" take care of the environment. The kitchen is fully managed by Frederico, which unfortunately leave the premises. The food Frederico was very good, from menu and wine list. The breakfast was awesome, and cared for by Frederico, with own jams and cakes. The service staff is supplied externally, helping out at noon and evening, also for external guests. Unfortunately, the room staff was non-existent, meaning our room was not made; to clean up the agreement every two days this. The dust was clearly visible unplugged on the TV tray and the exhaust fan in the bathroom, from which for a reason. Also, the drop in the room was not taken away. We were a junior suite sold (Pettirosso), but had no Living-launch in the second room but a Cabin bed, TV and a small table; ie a room for a family .... and not a suite. The property itself is very beautiful, with large garden and clean pool. The sun loungers a bit rundown. During settlement Claudio has not even asked whether we liked it or if something was missing. We just welcomed and settled. Unfortunately I have not the same complained directly what I should have done, but probably would have used nothing. All this seemed to us like a run-down "still beautiful" property, which is not out firmly in family hands, talk is just a hotel operation. For us, such a property does not belong in a farm catalog; ie because no heart and soul into it, and no passion is (except of Frederico) where we know from other property here and also very appreciated. Thus, we can as it is guided not recommend this operation, and we will no longer consider this. Pity? Hans Peter & Monika
