The agriturismo

The estate is composed of 8 hectares of land, farmed in compliance with natural principles. The main activities are the production of organic extra virgin olive oil and fruit growing and processing.

The accommodation

Four apartments, the largest of which on the ground floor and the remaining three sited in the converted stables. Each apartment features distinctive furniture, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, fridge-freezer, bathroom with shower or bath tub, hair-dryer and satellite TV. Patio area with table and chairs.

The rooms are elegantly furnished and feature a bathroom with shower and hair-dryer, with seating area complete with facilities to make tea, coffee and herbal teas.

Breakfast is served in the garden and consists of freshly baked cake and biscuits, preserves, honey, walnut bread and chestnut bread, all home-made.

Garden and outdoor swimming pool open from April to October, private car park, barbecue, children's play area.
The inn serves traditional dishes made mainly with produce from the farm.

 

Activities and surrounding

Wine tasting and sampling of local produce, cooking and bread making courses, meeting room. The proprietors can organise hiking excursions, including overnight trips.

The farm has 10 horse stalls with paddock for equine tourism. The surrounding area is criss-crossed with trails for hiking or mountain-bike excursions; the owner is Tuscany Regional Environmental Guide, and will provide you with full information on completion times and level of difficulty, organising trekking excursions complete with lunch stops in local hostelries and agriturismo establishments.

At 5 minutes by car Casciana Terme is a small town with a wellness and spa centre that offers concessionary rates for guests of the agriturismo. With a 40 minute drive guests can visit the enchanting mediaeval towns of Volterra and San Gimignano and the famous city of Pisa, while the coast is just 25 minutes away.
