Podere San Ferdinando

The farm sits half way up a hill facing out to the south west. From here there are spectacular views of the valley. All the buildings have been sensitively restored to preserve the traditional Tuscan character of the materials: stones, cotto, girders made of oak and chestnut wood.

The whole structure is covered by internet connection (wi-fi) available to our guests.

Around the court-yard: the villa which includes the owners' apartments and 4 double guest-rooms each with its own en suite shower room, one of them has a studio layout with its own kitchen area.; another independent building with a self contained apartment offering a choice of one or two double bedrooms each with en suite shower room, plus living area with fully equipped kitchen. A separate kitchen facility equipped with two cooking places is provided for the rooms that have not their own kitchen.

At the disposal of the guests, the traditional wood-oven, pergolas; barbecue, the big swimming pool, and a wonderful cart-house where open-air tables and chairs are available for dining and resting in the shade.
On the back: the wood, full of walking trails, which surround the area like a green fresh frame.
Down hill: the brick stables for breeding horses.

The agricultural produce: typical Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil and quince jam, are organic products. You can find also a selection of local vines (the traditional farm vine as well as the most awarded Tuscan vines recommended by sommeliers) and a selection of local products (honey, cheese, charcuterie, ham, white truffle and marzuolo truffle).

All the accommodation is designed to give guests the opportunity to prepare their own meals if they wish. But most prefer to eat with the owners in the age old country tradition of relaxing together around the table. Lunches and/or special dinners can be organised so that guests can taste the local dishes. These can include small music evenings or parties on the side of the swimming pool.
