The agriturismo

In an old house between Volterra, S. Gimignano and Siena, the farm owners and "pioneers of the agriturismo” have been providing warm hospitality, authentic food and Chianti galore for the past 20 years!

The accommodation

The rooms have bathroom with shower, hairdryer, fridge, natural oil soap, heating and view of the surrounding countryside.

Those on the first floor of Villa  the seventeenth century farm, have airconditioning, chestnut wood beam ceilings, original floors, and fans; those on the ground floor, like the apartments, have their own private entrance, outdoor space with pergola and table.

The 3 apartments are on the ground floor: Rosmarino and Lavanda, the three-room apartments, each have a double room, twin room, bathroom with shower, sitting room with double sofa-bed and equipped kitchen area; Menta, the two-room apartment in the ground floor wing of the main house, has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, sitting room with equipped kitchen and double sofa-bed.

 

Tastings and lunches are served at the large communal table; must-tries include the wild boar, the raw honey, and the locally sourced fruity extra-virgin olive oil from which the new range of EcoBio cosmetics and natural soaps are made. Packed lunches are prepared on request for picnics in the pine wood. Onsite services include a large 200 m2 panoramic swimming pool with patio, sun loungers and parasols; a tennis court (racquets and balls supplied on request); games for children.

Activities and surrounding

Guests can enjoys a range of different activities: pony trekking (for children, beginners or experts with different itineraries), walks including a visit to the olive mill (and, on request, an explanation of the process from the tree to the table), to the horses, the animal enclosures, the pond and the fossils; olive picking, cookery courses and excursions to the Natural Park.

Guest can also visit the nearby towns and cities of Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val d'Elsa, Monteriggioni, Siena, Pisa, Florence and Lucca.
