The agriturismo
The farm is immersed in the green of the Pisan hills, 200 metres above the sea level, in an open countryside covered by woods, fields, vineyards, olive groves. You could spot roe- deers, bucks, hawks and buzzards just taking a walk in the holding.
We stand in the so called “wine road”: You could indeed taste an excellent wine and a first-rate oil produced directly in the ancient family cellar in the centre of the village of Ghizzano, next to the XVth century villa and to the Italian garden built in the first years of XXth century.
Volterra and San Gimignano are only 30 km away, Pisa, Livorno and Firenze 45 km, Lucca 55 km and Siena 70 km.
The accommodation
Every farmhouse has its own pool. The view reaches as far as the sea.
The gardens around the houses are of 1000sqm and there are fruit trees and aromatic plants. They are equipped with barbecue, tables, chairs, deckchairs and umbrellas.
The structure therefore offers:
- a farmhouse San Prospero, divided into 2 apartments of 80 sqm for 4 people, with 2 double bedrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen, 1 bathroom.
- a farmhouse Il Monte, divided into 2 apartments: Santa Giulia: 1 apartment of 120sqm for 6 people, with 3 double bedrooms, 1 living room with fireplace, 1 fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms. Il Monte: 1 apartment of 200sqm for 10 people, with 5 double bedrooms, 1 very large living room with fireplace, 1 large kitchen, 4 bathrooms.
- 1 villa of 180sqm for 8 people, with 4 double bedrooms, 1 large kitchen, 1 large living room, 3 bathrooms.
The kitchens are all well equipped with ventilated ovens with 4 or 5 burners, dishwashers and small electric and manual kitchen tools. The bathrooms are all with shower box, bidet and sink.
The lounges are large and comfortable with sofas and armchairs. They all have fireplaces. The furnishings are in classic, rustic style and are all period. The floors are in terracotta and the ceilings are with exposed bricks and beams.
All houses are equipped with heating.
