Tenuta di Ghizzano

With a 15-minute drive from Ghizzano you can:

- Play tennis in Peccioli and Forcoli
- Go horse-riding on the hills, in the farmhouse San Ferdinando, on the hill in front of ours (ask for Piero)
- do paragliding, hang-gliding, fly with a single-engine microlight in the airfield of Peccioli.
- visit museums for free, many of them suitable also for children:
Museum of the peasant society, in Montefoscoli, with its old oil-press,its oil-jars, its cellars, the barn, the old farm tools.
Piaggio Museum in Pontedera, with its collection of motorbikes ranging from 1946 to nowadays and the prototypes constructed for war, for flying, for exhibitions etc.
The Prehistoric Park, in Peccioli, in the shade of the pines, with dinosaurs reaching 20 metres of height.
Archaeological Museum, in Peccioli. In Ortaglia Etruscan finds, probably related to the Etruscan people living near volterra, have been recently discovered.

Another activity you can do in Valdera is walking along the Naturalistic Itineraries, paths that range from 10 to 20 km, suitable to go on foot, by mountain-bike or horse-riding.
