The holiday farm "Il Calesse" takes its origin from the farm "F.lli Giuntini", existing from 1860, and it is located on the green hills of Montalbano region, in Tuscany.
The estate and the farmhouse have been totally restructured to be able to accomodate guests and to offer them genuine and relaxing holidays. The farm is composed of vast woods, olive-groves, vineyards, tree nurseries, and it produces olive oil, wine, vinsanto, lumber and ornamental plants.

Guests are lodged in bedrooms with private bathroom, provided with all comforts and furnished an a rustic style with completely restored ancient furniture.
The name shown on the door to the rooms corresponds to the view that you have from the window.
The guests comfort is assured by natural elements and by the environment, using alternative energy: the heating and hot water are maintained by solar heating panels; sewage and dark waters are purified in pools of 'fitodepurazione'; for the water irrigation of the garden it is used rain water; second hand and restored elements and materials; PV panels on the roof, using solar light to produce electricity.
At the ground floor there is the dining room (the old wine store), where guests can have breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is typically Tuscan, made up of jam and cakes completely home made served with cappuccino, coffee or tea. The evening dinner menu is also typically Tuscan. You can choose from the farm's selection of starters, first course of pasta and second main meat course, and end up with one of our home made desserts or cakes The ingredients used are from own land, and if not they are produced in the same area following local traditions, certified and suitable for retail sale.
