Il Molino di Ciapo

Il Molino di Ciapo is immersed in a charming natural environment reminiscent of medieval ages. It was carefully renovated with respect for ancient Tuscan style with terracotta tiles, chestnut beams and stone paved walkways. It is in this magical and pristine retreat that the Gabbani family will welcome you and make you feel at home. 

The double bedroom studios Olivo and Ponticello have been the latest restoration of the former old barn and refurbished with terracotta floor and chestnut beams. From both you can see the Nievole stream flowing under the 1100 year old humpback bridge, an architectural medieval masterpiece and one of the few still well preserved in the valley. The studio bed rooms are equipped with mini split air conditioning, heating control, satellite tv and wi-fi internet, bath room with shower and outdoor terrace overlooking the stream.

The apartments La Macina and Il Molino are each furnished with a double queen size bed room and a twin bedded, plus a sofa bed in the living room. Both are spacious and have a private entrance. The pain staking placement of antiques, original terracotta tiles and chestnut beams has provided the building with a special warmth and charm. The apartments have mini split air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, wi-fi internet, hairdryer, exclusive outdoor space, with BBQ.

The apartment La Macina consists of one twin bedded room and one queen size bedroom, a large eat in kitchen, a living room with sofa bed, and bathroom with shower.

The apartment Il Molino comprises one twin bedded room, one queen size bed room, spacious dining room and living room with fireplace and sofa bed, kitchenette, bathroom with tub and shower.

The Molino restaurant conveys the flavors and wholesome dishes that take you back in time to a day when authenticity and values were the basis of country life. The restaurant has 80 seats between indoor seats and the outdoor terrace. It is the ideal place to celebrate small weddings, banquets, birthdays, christenings, meetings and receptions. Some rooms can accommodate private candle lit dinners. The restaurant dining room is managed by Alessandra, daughter of the owner, and Andrea and Tommaso are always ready to welcome guests with kindness and courtesy. In the kitchen Alessandro (nickname Ciapo) and his daughter Michela will perk up your palate with a regional menu. On summer evenings the service takes place outdoors, under an elegant tent on the terrace overlooking the stream. The splendid bridge which is lit at night, creates an atmosphere charming and evocative to experience Tuscan cuisine. The food is traditional Tuscan; the restaurant offers a different menu every month, prepared with seasonal products, fruits and vegetables from the farm. The house is local meat prepared on a wood fired charcoal grill. The pride of the restaurant includes homemade pastas accompanied with various sauces, including game. Other fowl, farm products and raw- milk pecorino cheese are supplied by farmers and shepherds in the area. All dishes are carefully paired with excellent wines, selected from small estates throughout Tuscany.
