The agriturismo
Surrounded by age old cypress groves, this seventeenth century farmhouse stands at the top of a hill in the Orcia Valley Art, Culture and Nature Park, at around 400 metres altitude, in scenery untouched for centuries, where tradition and culture come together in refined beauty.
The farm produces prized PDO extra virgin olive oil which guests can enjoy as part of light lunches, typical dinners and during the "One Day Cooking Class" (min. 8 people), which is followed by a group dinner.
The accommodation
The structure is built in a U shape; the courtyard leads on to the main house (reception, tea corner, lounge with TV area, dining room with large working open fireplace). On the first floor you'll find 6 spacious and elegant rooms/suites, decorated in period style with carefully restored original doors, the original terracotta floors and ceilings with exposed beams. On the ground floor, the architectural features include ribbed vault, cross-ribbed vault and barrel vault ceilings.
The scenic swimming pool (with umbrellas, sunbeds and veranda) enjoys stunning views of the Siena hills. The inner courtyard, with its Pienza terracotta pots, tables and chairs, the old well and a functioning traditional oven, provides a kind of "mini piazza" where guests can dine and chat outdoors. The generous indoor and outdoor space, the green surroundings and the shaded car park make this the ideal setting for your ceremonies and events.
