Casa dei Girasoli

This farmhouse is part of an estate with ten hectares of land and one hectare of wooded land; it is surrounded by cypresses, olive groves, vineyards, sunflowers and wheat fields. The owner, belonging to a family devoted to farming by tradition, will welcome you with enthusiasm and will be glad to tell you about ancient traditions and rural activities and handicrafts. He will show you the old unaltered places: the threshing floor, the old hay-loft, the pigsty, the hen-house. If you want, you can take a pleasant walk in the estate and have a close look of the crops and of the agriculture.

The farmhouse is situated in San Gimignano , the ancient and famous medieval town celebrated for its beautiful towers, which is just 1 km far from the Farmhouse, easily reacheable also through a simple panoramic walking of only 15 minutes, in the very heart of Tuscany, an excellent position from where you can easily reach many famous and interesting cities of art: Florence, Siena, Volterra, Certaldo and Pisa. But it is also an ideal place where you can spend a nice holiday and just relax in the quietness of nature and countryside, in a very special natural environment.
