The agriturismo

Castello di Tornano welcomes guests in perfect Italian style, luxuriously comfortable and elegant, equipped with an outdoor pool for the exclusive use of the agriturismo's clients. A Spa and a gym are currently under construction, set to be ready by October 2024.

The rooms are located inside the Castle, in the Tower, and in the medieval village. The private cottage, surrounded by an exclusive garden with views of the vineyards, completes the offering, totaling 61 beds. All rooms in the Tower and the Castle have undergone a furniture change while maintaining their medieval character, while the suites in the village, completely renovated, feature a rustic and elegant style.

The accommodation

The property has different types of rooms located between the castle, the tower and the village, with a total of 52 beds. Completing the offer are 4 independent apartments, renovated respecting the original rural structure and where romance and the Middle Ages are harmoniously intertwined. A luxurious independent cottage with private garden and outdoor jacuzzi will be the perfect solution for those who do not want to give up luxury and independence.

For the renovation, all materials have been used that faithfully bring the castle back to its origins: stone and wood are the main protagonists of our accommodations, while travertine in the bathrooms.

The apartments are equipped with a kitchenette; this will allow guests to choose whether to spend evenings in the apartment's garden in the company of the kitchen, or to use the restaurant. Guests can request their own groceries for the apartments.

Although in a castle, all accommodations are equipped with the utmost comfort. Royalty, comfort and elegance will be the watchwords that will characterize the stay.

Complementing the offer and the dream of staying in a real castle is the wine cellar, carved out of the tower's former dungeon. Here connoisseurs, but also the less experienced, will be able to taste the Chianti Classico of Tornano and the excellent extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by typical Tuscan chopping boards; to complete the food and wine offer there is the restaurant where you can taste traditional Chianti cuisine, expertly prepared by the kitchen staff.

Activities and surrounding

The castle offers the opportunity to discover the surrounding area and fully experience nature while rediscovering the true and authentic scents of Tuscany.

Guests will have the opportunity to:

- Discover the classic Chianti vineyards through a picnic, olfactory discovery of Tuscan wine;

- Learn about typical Chianti cuisine through cooking classes;

- Discover as true explorers the area around the castle with e bike rentals;

- Discover the historic cities of Siena by requesting a transfer.

A few minutes from the castle you can find well-preserved ancient villages such as Vertine, Lecchi or San Sano, parish churches and abbeys set among hills and vineyards, such as San Giusto in Salcio.
