Strada di Cosona, 1, Cosona 53026 Pienza (Siena)
The agriturismo is located in the middle of the countryside, near an ancient castle, 11 km from Pienza. Until the end of the 1970s, the farm was the centre of a community of around 300 people, with a parish church and a school.
Views of Cosona have been celebrated by cinema, expecially in the Oscar winning movie “The English Patient” by Anthony Minghella.
The agriturismo offers 7 independent apartments: La Quinta, La Scuola, Casa Leoncini, Casa Bruna, Guidoccio, La Cappella and Il Poggiolo. All apartments have a kitchen and green outdoor spaces.
From the beginning of June until the end of September, there is a communal outdoor swimming pool with views of Pienza, the Orcia Valley and Mount Amiata.
The agriturismo is part of the farm of the same name, which produces cereals and PGI extra virgin olive oil. Milk from the sheep is gathered to produce Pecorino di Pienza cheese.
Be sure to take a trip to Pienza, Italy’s first Renaissance city.
Siena and Arezzo are around an hour away by car.
The surrounding area is home to many beautiful hamlets (Castelmuzio, Petroio, Montisi, Trequanda), and parts of the Via Francigena can be accessed and explored on foot around Buonconvento, San Quirico d'Orcia and Bagno Vignoni.
The gardens of Villa La Foce and the Parco della Ragnaia in San Giovanni d’Asso are certainly worth a visit.
Mount Amiata (for winter skiing and summer excursions) is only half an hour away by car.
A long stroll will take you to the frescoed abbey of Sant’Anna in Camprena. A trip to the abbeys of Sant'Antimo (Montalcino) and Monteoliveto Maggiore (Asciano) is also recommended.
The DOCG wines Brunello and Nobile can be sampled in the cellars of Montalcino and Montepulciano.
The spa centres of Bagno Vignoni, Rapolano and Chianciano Terme are all easily accessible.
Cosona is ideal for excursions on foot, by mountain bike or by moped.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.

We were a group of 9 friends and stayed in one of the out-houses. The house has the basic amenities and was in good condition (although the bathrooms could be up-graded). The house has a large living room (with a fireplace) and a large dining room so one can spend an evening in the house itself. One evening, a local chef Alessandro ( recommended by Victoria) came over to cook a local meal for us - that was really nice and the food delicious. The setting and views were outstanding. Victoria was very helpful with recommendations, etc and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Good value as well and works well for big groups.
It 'was a great experience ... live for a few days in an atmosphere of times ... thank Victoria and her family who have preserved and kept over the years so much beauty, history and traditions .. We will definitely return to Cosona !! !

We have been going back to Tuscany for many years and staying in different parts of the region in different houses but it was Cosona where I didn't feel I was a tourist felt I was at home.Very nice spotless clean apartment fitted with everything you might need.We had a nice open fire which made the place even cozier. The view was amazing and enjoying the awakening nature in the beautiful garden was just a bonus. If you want to get a touch of the unspoiled Tuscany this is the best place where to take a break. We are all very grateful to our lovely hosts who were always very helpful and available all the time.
