The agriturismo
The agriturismo can be found at the La Casaccia farm, where vines and olive trees are grown, near the medieval village of San Gusmè.
The accommodation is located in one of the finest corners of the part of the Chianti region, a short distance from the Crete, the Val d’Orcia and the Chiana Valley, a twenty minute drive from Siena.
The apartments are located in the newly-renovated nineteenth-century manor house.
The accommodation
The agriturismo has two apartments furnished with antique furniture, which enhance the beauty of the exposed beams and stone and Tuscan cotto tiles.
Casa Adamo faces south, east and north, is located on the second floor of the house, has a private entrance and measures over 100 square metres. It consists of two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and window and a panoramic living room with fireplace. Fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven and hobs, satellite TV and DVD player.
Casa Angiolina faces west and south, is located on the first floor of the house, has a private entrance with travertine, stone and exposed beams and measures about 45 square metres. It has one double bedroom with an antique bed, bathroom with skylight, panoramic living room with fully-equipped kitchen, satellite TV and DVD player.
Guests have access to a panoramic garden equipped for outdoor dining, barbecue area, outdoor swimming pool (12x4x1.2-1.4 m) usually open from June to September, shady garden, play area, fenced area for dogs and private parking.
Numerous trails for walking or cycling start from the agriturismo or in the immediate vicinity.
Meals are not served in the agriturismo, but crisp toasts, jam, tea and coffee are available for breakfast and discounts are offered in local restaurants.
In addition to overnight stays, guests can also visit the winery and buy wines at special prices: Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico (Gallo Nero), IGT Toscana Rosso, Chardonnay Toscana, Bianco Maremma IGT. They can also sample the oil produced on the farm and, subject to availability, stock up on fresh vegetables from the farmer.
