The farmhouse is located 9 km (5.6 miles) from the wonderful town of Montalcino, home of one of Tuscany, and Italy's best wines, Brunello di Montalcino. The countryside is spectacular, a mix of orderly rows of vineyards, and the rugged Siena and Maremma hills. Seemingly isolated, is only 1.5 km (1 mile) from the nearest hill top village where you can find a charming trattoria, a well-stocked alimentari, or grocery store and cafe-bar. Many other restaurants within some minutes.

Just down the road the stunning Abbazia di Sant' Antimo, masterpiece of Romanesque architecture a graces the valley, and there are many vineyards where you can taste the local produce.

A little more than 100 km (60 miles) from Florence and less than 200 km to Rome, Le 7 Camicie is close to many very important sites of art, history and archaeology in Italy. Within 100 km you can visit Siena, Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Volterra, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Orvieto and many other wonderful places.
