The farmhouse is an old country-house completely restored situated in a superbly panoramic position in the green Chianti hills. In this peaceful place, just a few kilometres from Siena, you can relax completely or make pleasant excursions into the surrounding area. With its 2 villas in Chianti style, two swimming pools and a large park that surrounds the stone farmhouse, the Farmhouse Le Trappoline is the perfect resort for relaxing and happy days. Due to its geographical location, it is also the perfect place from which to learn about and explore the Chianti region of Tuscany, its beautiful villages and the magnificent cities of Florence, Siena, Arezzo and the precious treasures they hold.

The structure consists of two villas.

Le Trappoline has been renovated in traditional Chianti style: ceilings with exposed beams, adapted secular doors, terracotta floors. The colors of the walls recall the traditions, with their shades of sage, pink, lavender, yellow: a way to rediscover the harmony of rural life.
The decor is simple, but great attention is given to every detail: embroidered curtains on the windows, antique furniture, chests, old glass, fireplaces. Each apartment consists of a large kitchen-living room, double bedrooms, bathrooms with shower: according to your need, single beds and sofa beds are also offered. Cradle beds are available on request.
In the kitchen, in addition to a well-stocked stove, you can slo find sets of plates and trays, cutlery, pots and pans, microwave oven, coffee-machine (American coffee too), satellite TV. Each apartment is equipped with heaters and air-conditioning systems. Free Wi-Fi internet connection is available in the whole farmhouse.
The basement of the Trebbiano apartment also includes a room with a washing machine available to all customers, Villa Sangiovese is equipped with a dedicated washeing machine.

A large swimming pool (12 meters x 6) available to all the apartments is set on the panoramic hillside with a suggestive view of the Castello di Brolio as well the as vineyards, olive groves and woods. It is next to a large lawn and a large sun terrace with sun loungers, chairs, tables and parasols. One more pool (about 20 mq.m.) is for the exclusive use of the guests of the Villa Sangiovese all’Aia: It is located in the private garden adjacent to the Villa and is equipped with a unique solarium with sun beds, parasols and shower.

At the farmhouse Le Trappoline it is not provided restoration service.

Description of villas:

Villa Sangiovese all'Aia: The Villa Sangiovese all’Aia has been created from the barnyard adjacent to the farmhouse. It takes its name from its origin, associated, as the other apartments, to one of the most prestigious vineyards of Chianti Classico: the Sangiovese.
The Villa is surrounded by a very large garden, that includes the private swimming pool with its solarium. Outside there is also a roof terrace with a table, chairs, and a covered gazebo: the perfect place to enjoy an unforgettable outdoor dinner. The parking area is large and private.
Inside there are two double bedrooms (one of them created recently), the kitchen-living room and two bathrooms.
The rooms include an air-conditioned system. In addition to general services, the Sangiovese also includes a washing machine and dishwasher.

Villa Trappoline: In 2021, the following 3 apartments (which compose the main building) are rented as a unique Villa, named Villa Trappoline.
Canaiolo del Nonno: The apartment Canaiolo del Nonno has been created at the main entrance of the old farmstead. Ivo lived there with his wife Pierina and this is were Danilo and Franco were born. The grandchildren still remember the smells that could be breathed in the kitchen when someone was cooking pappardelle with hare sauce or roasted meat grilled in the old and large fireplace. That fireplace still stands right in fron of the door of Canaiolo: just like the old sink and the marble table. The kitchen is spacious and includes a glass door that overlooks the rear of the house. The master bedroom is large and very fresh. An air-conditioning system is available as well. Outside there is a gazebo with a table where you can enjoy freshly prepared dishes, in front of it there is an old well, no longer full of water but instead with many memories. We wanted to dedicate the name of this apartment to grandfather Ivo: sitting there next to the fireplace with his ever-present cigar. Obviously in this case the Canaiolo is the wine variety selected.

Malvasia al Forno: The apartment Malvasia al Forno is located in the part of the farmhouse where the old bread oven stood. The rural life was full of many everyday actions and the ritual of bread was one of those, perhaps the most important. Hence the name of the apartment, associated with Malvasia, another noble vine, appreciated for the preparation of the Vin Santo.
Two well-furnished double rooms welcome their guests, along with a comfortable living room. Cotto stairs lead to one of the bedrooms and the toilet. The apartment is equipped with an air-conditioned system. Outside there is a large courtyard with gazebo and a table that overlooks the stunning views of the Chianti countryside.

Trebbiano al Bosco: The apartment Trebbiano al Bosco is located on the first floor of the house and is accessed by stone stairs for the exclusive use of this unit. Here you can breathe the scent of the forest of holms, oaks and junipers, hence the name of the apartment, together with that of the Trebbiano, another variety of Chianti grapes. The windows of the large living room and lovely bedroom overlook the magnificent panorama, in which you can get lost in the play of light when the sky is clear. In addition to the double bed there is a queen bed and a comfortable sofa bed located in the living room with kitchen. The apartment is equipped with an air-conditioned system.

The farmhouse is an ideal starting-point for pleasant walks in the countryside. In the nearby village of Monti in Chianti there are shops, a bar, a restaurant and a telephone-box.
Beautiful Siena is only 17 Km far from the farm.
The famous Palio delle Contrade is held in Siena twice a year: on 2nd of July and 16th of August. The festival is really something unique, something worth seeing.

From here, it is easy to reach other historical villages, as San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Pienza and Montalcino.
The farmhouse is part of the "I Sodi" Farm where you can buy directly typical products such as Chianti Classicowine D.O.C.G. , extra-virgin olive oil, Vin Santo (a kind of sweet dessert wine) and grappa.
