The agriturismo
A Casole d'Elsa, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in a hilly area with large wooded areas, the two houses with the apartments are located within a 200 ha farm, which grows cereals, sunflowers and olive trees.
The farm is a few miles from Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra.

The accommodation
The agriturismo consists of two accommodations: Il Casale and La Peschiera.The former is a late 19th-century farmhouse, ideal for those who love to be in contact with nature in complete relaxation; it has apartments, sleeping 2 to 5 people, furnished with care and with every kind of comfort and private outdoor spaces, a large swimming pool overlooking the village of Casole d'Elsa.
La Peschiera is a cottage suitable for families with children; it has 6 apartments, sleeping 4 to 6 people, large secure outdoor spaces and a beautiful swimming pool. All apartments have anoutdoor area equipped with table and chairs.
At the farmhouse, by prior arrangement with the managers, it is possible to participate in a tasting of typical Tuscan products in the common room of the farmhouse.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is half an hour from Siena. In the vicinity of the agriturismo, guests can go walking, cycling or horse riding.
The agriturismo is a few minutes away from Casole d'Elsa, a small village on a hill 418 metres above sea level, nestled in the Siena countryside. Every year, the village hosts a live nativity scene from 25 December to 6 January and the "Palio di Casole d'Elsa", a race with jockeys on horseback which takes place every year on the second Sunday in July in honour of St. Isidoro: the victory of one of the 6 districts marks the start of singing and dinners open to all.
In the nearby town of Mensano, from 5 to 7 September, visitors can see the "Palio dei Ciuchi", a traditional event with a donkey race, tasting of traditional dishes and lots of music and, from the end of September to the beginning of October, they can join in the "Festa della Vendemmia", a popular wine harvest festival with carts drawn by oxen, good wine and chestnuts.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful Agriturismo. We very much enjoyed the scenery and the perfect location right in the middle of Tuscany, near San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena and Florence. It was only for a week, we wished it was longer... the pool is very nice, too.
