Podere Albedo

The use of the word Albedo (From the Latin albēdo, "whiteness") pays tribute to an activity that for over 30 years has taken place here and which is represented by its industrial archeology – a lovely 1930s kiln, one of the few still in existence. The farmhouse was founded in 1993 when the owners, husband and wife, enchanted by the alchemy of the place, decided to move to the countryside, after years of city life, re-establishing a close contact with nature and embarking upon their spellbinding adventure. 

On the hillside of rocky land, typical for the place, there is an olive grove, which produces oil with a unique flavor that may be tasted during your stay here. On the estate it’s easy to encounter and photograph wild animals like roe, boar, and birds typical of the area. Dogs and cats are welcome, with a special fenced-in area for them where they can play. 

The agriturismo also offers inviting apartments furnished in typical Tuscan style; the building is simple and characteristic, with wooden beams and pitched roofs. Guests may also rent the entire building. The apartments also have a kitchen unit, spacious living room, bedrooms and baths, independent entrance, and heating. All come with main comforts: microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, TV satellite dish, Wi-Fi connection, private outside area where you may spend relaxing moments. The fee includes bed, bath, and kitchen linens and final maid service. Comforts also for children: cradles and highchairs. A swimming pool and barbecue are also available to guests.
