The agriturismo
Podere Lamberto is centrally located between the Val d' Orcia and the Val di Chiana, an excellent starting point for visiting the places of interest around Montepulciano. We will be at your disposal for any suggestion on places to discover, wineries to visit and the best products to taste. Villages, cities of art, breathtaking views, you'll be spoilt for choice.
A few minutes by car Montepulciano, Monticchiello, Pienza, Cetona, Cortona, Chiusi, Montefollonico. With a few minutes more San Quirico, Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni, Città della Pieve, Montalcino. Within an hour's drive Siena, Monteriggioni, Arezzo, Perugia, Lago Trasimeno.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is a building on two levels: on the lower floor there is a large room used as a dining room, living room with satellite TV and fireplace corner. Here in the morning guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast with fresh and organic food, fragrant biscuits and cakes prepared by the owner. There is also a large professional kitchen. On request it is possible to have dinner and we will be glad to make you taste the local products in a simple and familiar way, rediscovering the typical flavours by selecting the best products at the origin: Pienza's pecorino cheese, Chianina meat, Cinta's salami, handmade pici, and of course our oil and our wines: Tartufaie, Rosso di Montepulciano and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Also on the ground floor is an accessory room with a bathroom, washing machine and ironing facilities, as well as spaces reserved for the staff for linen closets and service material.
In the adjoining cellar the wines produced on the farm are still kept in barrels.
On the upper floor, there are the bedrooms and the apartments that have independent access from the outside: two from the balcony that runs along the entire facade of the building and two from the back. As the building is built on a sloping terrain, the rooms at the rear are at ground level.
The structure is totally immersed in the green, with a panoramic view of the valley in front and surrounded by the forest of oaks on the other sides. A large lawn-garden area equipped with deckchairs and benches, a barbecue and a wooden gazebo with tables for dinners and breakfasts complete the surrounding space available to guests.
About 200 metres away, along a path shaded by hazelnut trees, you can reach the swimming pool, situated in the most panoramic area of the Podere and completely surrounded by greenery and lawns, equipped with bathroom and hot shower, sun beds and deckchairs.
The rooms and apartments are rented as Bed&Breakfast, but it is also possible to rent the entire structure for weekly stays (Villa option).
In addition, also La Dimora Storica is now available for hospitality. On the ground floor of the villa there are two large adjoining halls. There is a corner with a fireplace and comfortable sofas where you can read, listen to music, converse and enjoy the magical and refined atmosphere of the historic house. A harmonious succession of arches punctuates the spaces characterized by exposed brick, brick and wood floors and the clever play of beams and rafters of the ceilings. Also on the ground floor there is a dining room, where the guests of the rooms on the upper floor have their breakfast where fresh and organic food, bread and cakes prepared by the owner are offered. On request it is possible to have dinner and we will be happy to make you taste the local products in a simple and familiar way accompanied by our wines: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Rosso di Montepulciano. Even the garden outside the villa is now available to all guests of the Podere, to enjoy in summer the pleasure of being immersed in the surrounding green space. On the upper floor there are two double bedrooms with bathrooms: l'Orso and il Riccio. There is also a large living room with bookcase and desk for the exclusive use of the guests of the two rooms.
