Podere Spagliarda

In 2010, careful, scrupulous restoration of the whole farmstead was begun; the original structure was retained and materials salvaged from the farmstead were reused.

French windows lead into the living zone on the ground floor: on the right is a fully-equipped kitchen in Italian walnut with refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, a large worktop around the hob and oven, a large, solid timber table and comfy chairs; on the left, in the living area, are two cosy sofas and Sat-TV on a stone wall. A very modern bathroom with washing machine and shower, also fitted out for the use of disabled people is located along a wide hallway with brick and stone arches. Finally, the last room is a very welcoming studio-bedroom that can adapt to suit the guests’ needs: this is a studio with a writing desk and bookcase, Sat-TV and a large, comfortable sofa that can be converted into a double bed. This room leads out onto a small courtyard paved with dry stone salvaged during renovations.

Back in the hallway, the travertine stairway is lit with LEDs to create a suggestive atmosphere and leads up to the first floor, which has an entry leading into three bedrooms with three bathrooms.

Lilla: double room with a large, painted wrought iron bed, two side tables, a wardrobe and a solid wood chest. The very modern bathroom has a relaxing shower and the room includes Sat-TV.

Oro: the master bedroom has a large, black wrought iron bed, two side tables, a large wardrobe and a solid wood chest. It has a small but perfectly functional bathroom with a spacious shower and it includes Sat-TV.

Glicine: this room has black wrought iron twin beds, two side tables, a wardrobe, a solid wood chest and Sat-TV. The very modern bathroom located in the hallway is for the exclusive use of guests in this room and is fitted with a central shower stall.

Each rooms has exposed beams and old “mezzana” brickwork. The windows are not very big but, like paintings, look over the surrounding panorama.

Outside, guests can make the most of the garden and eat outdoors under a delightful equipped gazebo.
