The Mora family has renovated the old houses of the village overlooking San Gimignano and Certaldo, maintaining the typical Tuscan austere elegance, enhancing them with today's comforts to ensure guests a pleasant holiday in Tuscany in elegant rooms with breakfast and dinner or in apartments with kitchen (Casa San Raffaello) stay in full autonomy.
Of the 3 Houses in Tuscany, Casa Arcangelo good as Villa rentals for groups is the oldest, located at 500 meters from the other houses. Casa Capezzano (with “Fienile Bio” ) is the main house where is the reception room with the direct sale of products, wine cellars and restaurant with a terrace overlooking the hills. The farmhouse is 35 km far from Siena, 65 km from Florence, 3 km from Certaldo, 8 km from San Gimignano, 35 km from Volterra. Guests can also the charming medieval towns such as Vinci, Colle Val d’Elsa and Monteriggioni, approximately 20 km from Poderi Arcangelo. The hot springs, Terme di Gambassi at 7 km, also offer the opportunity to try thermal cures and fitness and esthetic treatments with the renowned water, Acqua di Pillo, at the thermal center of Gambassi, while at only 5 km fromthe farmhouse there is a newly-opened fitness center.
The Chianti region offers numerous hiking trails, on foot, horseback or mountain bike. Near the agritourism area, there are also extremely interesting routes of the Via Francigena along the Val d’Elsa arriving at Siena through routes of a rare beauty unifying nature, medieval life and spirituality or those of painters and poets who crossed the Val d’Elsa in the past centuries, including Pontormo, Leonardo, Boccaccio and Dante.
