San Quirico d'Orcia (Siena)
At the heart of the Orcia Valley Park, the agriturismo is an old stone farmhouse on a family-run farm established in the 1960s, producing wine and oil, and seasonal fruit and vegetables available for guests to enjoy.
The hillside location offers views of Radicofani rock and Mount Amiata, Pienza, and the nearby Vitaleta Church, one of the most familiar images of the Tuscan countryside.
The old stone farmhouse has been carefully renovated to maintain the Tuscan rural architectural features.
There are only a small number of bedrooms to ensure each guest's stay is truly peaceful: the apartments offer 2 or 4 beds and come with heating, private bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens and crockery.
There is also a shared lounge with an open fireplace and a garden with a veranda and barbecue.
The agriturismo is ideally located for strolls, mountain biking or horse riding along signposted pathways leading to villages, towns and castles. Pienza, San Quirico, Montepulciano and Montalcino are the most well-known cities of art in the surrounding area.
The Bagno Vignoni spa centre is just 3 km away, with its unique ancient pool at the centre of the village. There are important abbeys and churches all over the region: Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Sant'Antimo, Sant'Anna in Camprena, Corsignano Parish Church.
The centre of Siena is 40 km away, and Florence, Perugia, Maremma and the sea can all be reached within an hour.
The agriturismo also offers guests the chance to taste the farm's produce, tours of a Brunello wine cellar in Montalcino and photography courses.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
Hi, my name is Luciano Gorelli and I am 55 years old.
I have been doing this job for 21 years along with my parents.
As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially appreciate the warm family welcome.
