Riserva di Fizzano

Located along the ancient Via Francigena, the Relais comprises six buildings, which play host to a total of 19 apartments, along with gardens and extensive landscaped areas, a chapel, two swimming pools, a bar, a restaurant and a small retail outlet selling the wines, olive oil and honey made by Rocca delle Macie. The painstaking restoration of the buildings at the Riserva di Fizzano has been carried out in such a way as to leave the pre-existing structures in place, concentrating instead on the recovery of the historical features that endow each apartment with its own character, such as ancient feeding troughs, tiled floors, wood-beamed ceilings and grand fireplaces.

There are two main types of apartment at the complex: the two-room apartment, which has one bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with kitchenette, and the three-room apartment, which has 2 bedrooms, 1 or 2 bathrooms and a living room with kitchenette. All of the apartments are furnished with understated elegance in the rustic Tuscan style and afford breathtaking glimpses over the hills and valleys of the Chianti Classico production zone. The kitchenettes are equipped with everything required for cooking and, on request, the sofas in the living rooms can be used as sofa-beds.

The complex has two stunning swimming pools with views over the vine-covered valley, where you can relax in the sun or under the parasols. Later on, towards dusk, you can sip a glass of wine as you look out towards the famous towers of San Gimignano. There is a play area for children, as well as large green spaces where they can run around and play safely. Mountain bikes are available for rides through the vineyards or alternatively you can follow one of the signposted treks that make their way through the Fizzano estate. You can enjoy wonderful summer evenings with dinner under the stars or attend one of theme nights... all this and more awaits you at the Riserva di Fizzano.
