At 500m altitude, the estate sits on a hilltop overlooking the jewels of Tuscan medieval and renaissance architecture: Montepulciano, Pienza, and the hamlet of Monticchiello. The views spread out over the valleys of Val di Chiana, Monte Amiata and Val d'Orcia, where the historic little towns of San Quirico, Rocca, Castiglione, Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino, Montefolloncio and Buonconvento are nestled in the landscape. A restaurant service is available upon request for the guests of the estate.

Immersed in one of Italy's superior areas of viniculture, the vineyards of farm border the region where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is produced, and the estate is less than 20 minutes from the world-renown Brunello di Montalcino vineyards.

There are a plethora of options for excursions and day trips in the surrounding area. The Tuscan towns of Siena, Arezzo, and Montalcino, and the Umbrian towns of Perugia, Assisi, and Orvieto are less than one hour from farmhouse by car, while Monticchiello, Pienza, and Montepulciano are all less than 10 km from our estate.

Thanks to the surrounding natural environment perfect for long relaxing walks and excursions, the farm is a place where splendid vacations are made. Those in good shape can follow the paths indicated by the experts or pedal mountain bikes through the magnificent woods and hills. Others can drive along the beautiful, winding roads, rent a scooter, or take a local bus to see nearby sites.

Guests who enjoy athletic activity can swim in pool, or play tennis and go horseback riding nearby. They can make arrangements for golf enthusiasts to play at Golf Club Valdichiana, less than 20 minutes away by car, or at the bigger Golf Club Perugia, 50 minutes driving.

Dining in Tuscany is a genuine pleasure. In addition to sampling our wines and olive oil, we suggest trying some of the local restaurants. Strolling through the cobblestone streets and into the little artisan shops of Montepulciano, Pienza, and other nearby towns is a true delight. Siena holds a weekly market where one can find all sorts of treasures.

Lower Tuscany is rich with natural hot springs, famous since ancient Roman times. The thermal pools of San Casciano dei Bagni, Montepulciano, Chianciano, and Bagno Vignoni offer a great way to take care of body and spirit. All are less than 20 minutes away by car and we can assist with making reservations.

Cultural events occur throughout the year in the surrounding area. Most notable are the performances of the Teatro Povero of Monticchiello, the concerts of Castelluccio, the Bravìo delle Botti in Montepulciano, the Medieval Festival of Monteriggioni, and Siena's Palio.
