The agriturismo

The Farm holidays Casali del Toppello is situated between Trasimeno hills, it is about 350 metres above sea level. It is surrounded by woods and is located on the Wine Roads and the Oil Roads. It is surrounded by a magnificent forest, vineyards and olive groves. A peaceful and relaxing place is ready to provide you a pleasant refreshment.

The accommodation

Casali del Toppello is a family-run farm company situated in Corciano, a medieval town which is elected as one of the most beautiful villages of Italy according to ANCI. The country houses are located on the top of a toppello (“little hill” in Umbrian dialect), they are dominated by three mounts: Mount Malbe, Mount Tezio and Mount Acuto.

15 km from Trasimeno Lake, between the goblets of the Knights of Malta, on the way that lead pilgrims, Knights Templar and the armies towards Perugia, Casali del Toppello is an excellent starting point for visiting intact natural landscapes and the beautiful art cities of this green region.

The property covers a whole hill dominated from the two country houses. In the 27 hectares of land there are more than 1700 olive trees and 8 hectars of vineyard of different typology, some areas of forest and a small lake you can admire from one of our naturalistic routes.

The swimming pool-solarium occupies an admirable panoramic position overlooking a marvelous view over the valley below, where the fields and trees change colour according to the season providing scenic effects and fascinating moments of relax.

We have 5 apartments with the best comfort of the charm farm holidays: private bathroom with bathtub or shower and hairdryer, Wi-Fi, telephone and minibar or kitchenette.

We have also 3 double rooms with private bathroom.

Activities and surrounding

The swimming pool (16m x 6m) allows you to practice different forms of swimming. For more audacious, Lake Trasimeno represents a further opportunity for swimming towards the islands at the sunset.

The collaboration with the nearby Horse Centre (just 5 km), allows to horse lovers of all ages the opportunity to go riding, from courses for children, to the discovery of some of the most beautiful views of the zone.

The large property (28 hectares) bordering other open properties on the Trasimeno hills allows lovers of walking to choose between: trails with splendid panoramic views on the lake and on the Perugian valley; corners of intense nature, in the middle of forests of oaks and strawberry tree,s where it is easy to find porcini mushrooms, a hair, a fallow deer or follow the tracks of a wild boar in search of soft roots.

The hills of Lake Trasimeno have a lot of tracks that run through the ridges and represent a true paradise for lovers of mountain bike riding. Furthermore, the farm property is crossed by the Umbro Cycling Route No.3 “Hills and Castles around Corciano” 25km asphalt and dirt road, mountain bike or hybrid recommended.

For lovers of the motorbike the surrounding hills are a paradise with a collection of dirty roads of great interest. The nearby Lake Trasimeno, first mirror of water in the centre of Italy as far as size is concerned, allows our guests to practice a mix of various activities: sailing; kite-surf; windsurf; canoa; fishing; boat trips  on the lake.

For golf lovers, Casali del Toppello is a privileged place for its proximity to the Golf Club Antognolla,
just 8 km: an 18-hole championship course situated inside the property “Antognolla” of 600 hectares, with an adjoining ancient castle and equipped with a 250meters of practice field, with variety of shooting positions, undulating fairways and target green, putting green, pitching area and sand bunker.

Just 10 km away, there is the sports centre of Ellera equipped with aside football pitches and tennis courts.

For thrill seekers, it is possible to look over Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding areas in Umbria and Tuscany in a helicopter. For lovers of inspiration, a splendid hot-air balloon ride, leaving at dawn with a special in-flight breakfast, with champagne and strawberries.

As well as we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication, we take care of the crops.

It was a desire to to pursue a passion which led me to run an agriturismo.
