The agriturismo

This fully renovated traditional stone farmhouse stands near Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, which overlooks the Upper Tiber Valley, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. This friendly welcoming setting is the perfect place to discover the countryside, its animals and its produce.

The accommodation

The old rural buildings, transformed into elegant little houses, make up a little hamlet: the 6 apartments and 3 villas respect the typical rural style, furnished with Arte Povera pieces and offering kitchens and private gardens with tables, chairs and barbecues.

 

In peak season, there is also a restaurant service open to guests: the meals, served in your apartment or in the garden, are typical of the Upper Tiber Valley, and prepared predominantly using ingredients from the farm itself (extra virgin olive oil, meat, seasonal vegetables and wine). "Pizza in Piazza" takes place every Thursday, with made-to-order pizzas cooked in the wood burning oven and served on the agriturismo's little piazza.

 

You’ll also find a large scenic swimming pool and the farm’s riding centre, home to 20 horses with 20 brick stables, stalls, a club house, large paddocks and indoor and outdoor sand rings.

 

Activities and surrounding

A deep love of horses lies behind the wealth of riding lessons on offer for children and the summer camps for groups of children aged 10 to 15, held at the agriturismo. More experienced riders can enjoy excursions of varying lengths and levels of difficulty.

Subject to booking, guests can forage for truffles alongside an expert truffle hunter and his dogs. Nearby you’ll also find sporting facilities and culture, from golf clubs to spa centres and tennis courts, Città di Castello, Lake Trasimeno, Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Arezzo and the Chianti regions.
