Agriturismo La Romita di Valle Fuino

The farm’s headquarters is located in an old rural farmhouse that incorporates an ancient church. Expertly restored, it offers accommodation in four apartments, each with two double bedrooms, hall and kitchenette, and in six double rooms, sleeping a total of 28. The agriturismo is wheelchair accessible, and two of the rooms are designed for disabled guests. All the rooms have ensuite facilities. The agriturismo also has a restaurant with two bathrooms, one for disabled guests.

Another distinctive feature in the farm is the food on offer: in addition to traditional Umbrian recipes, guests can also enjoy other dishes typical of other regions and even foreign dishes, prepared exclusively using natural products. Most of the farm produce, in fact, ends up in the farmhouse kitchen: spelt, barley, lentils from the Castelluccio area, truffles, saffron and mushrooms, vegetables and fruits of the forest, milk-fed baby lamb and cheese originating solely from the farm’s own herd of sheep, as well as poultry and rabbits. All the agricultural produce and livestock on the farm are grown and bred in a strictly organic manner on natural pastures.

Inside the agriturismo, guests can also find a reception area with comfortable sofas for relaxing on, an internet point and a reading room. During the weekly stays, short courses are organised on saffron processing, artisan cheese making, hemp rope knots and splicing.
