The agriturismo
Located in Morra di Città di Castello, a short distance from typical local restaurants, the agriturismo stands on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, and offers farmhouses with fully equipped kitchens, independent heating and traditional fireplaces, perfect for roasting the famous Chianina beef and delicious Umbrian pork specialities.
The estate includes a shared lounge, tree-lined avenues, a swimming pool surrounded by open green space, a children’s play area, ping pong, a barbecue and plenty more to see and do.
The accommodation
The farmhouses, all different in size, were built in different periods and offer a range of architectonic features:
- “Il Granaio”, constructed on a single level, is suitable for disabled guests. Built in 1860, it offers: 3 large bedrooms, a spacious lounge with sofa bed, a seventeenth century fireplace, a kitchen area, a bathroom with shower, and private outdoor space with table and chairs, umbrella and barbecue.
- “Lo Ziraio” is large enough to accommodate 2 families or groups and includes: 3 bedrooms (one of which is a double with a single bed) and 2 twin rooms, lounge-kitchen, 2 bathrooms with showers and a small downstairs toilet, and 2 separate sleeping areas with 2 independent bathrooms, The house enjoys its own independent entrance via one of the property’s tree-lined avenues, and outside you'll find a table and chairs and a barbecue.
- “Il Fortebraccio”, separate from the others and dating back to the fifteenth century, on the border between the estate and the town, offers one double bedroom, one triple bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom, two entrances and outdoor space with a table and chairs and a barbecue.
The complex is topped off by a lounge with a hammerbeam ceiling, a fireplace with the Vitelli family coat of arms, a veranda perfect for parties, ceremonies and meetings, the wine cellar, “il casciaro” (the cheese room), the bread oven and the old granary. “La Terrazza” is a farmhouse dating back to 1882, once used to dry corn, wheat and chestnuts.
The property is the perfect place to soak up the historic, rural atmosphere, in the stunning setting of the main villa with its guesthouses and private chapel.
