The agriturismo
Just 3 km from Costacciaro, in the area around Perugia, the agriturismo is situated in a large valley, framed by the rivers Chiascio and Chiasciolo; the farmhouse, surrounded by the lush Umbrian hills of Monte Cucco Natural Park, stands inside a 14-hectare estate cultivated organically — with AIAB certification — with plantations and cereals, fodder, woodlands and truffle woods.
The farm also plays an educational role and boasts an equestrian centre for horse and horse-riding enthusiasts.
The accommodation
The agriturismo, perfectly renovated and covering two floors, has a well stocked bar to offer tasty breakfasts and snacks on the ground floor; the first floor has a comfortable sitting room with TV and fireplace, as well as 9 rooms with bathroom, independent heating and panoramic views. Guests can also avail of a splendid panoramic swimming pool with Roman steps and night time lighting.
The farm offers typical local cuisine made with its own organic produce: guests can sample specialities made from truffles, spelt and vegetables, or opt for homemade first course, barbecued meat or the traditional crescia bread baked in the wood fire oven. Exquisite homemade tarts made with local jams.
