The agriturismo
The agriturismo, nestled in a relaxing, centuries-old park, is located in the east of Verona and offers bed and breakfast and a restaurant, swimming pool and riding centre.
Guests can stay in elegant, comfortable rooms or apartments, which the owner, Bernardo, provides in his villa.
The agriturismo is just a few minutes from the Verona tradefair, which hosts major international events such as Vinitaly or the Fieracavalli horse fair.
The staff also speak English.
The accommodation
Each room has a television, air conditioning and private bathroom with shower. One of the rooms can accommodate disabled guests. The apartments also have a private kitchen.
Great care has been taken with the furnishings, which fit in with the décor of the building.
A delicious buffet breakfast, featuring freshly-baked bread, butter and jam, croissants, yogurt, cereals, fresh seasonal fruit, cold meats and local cheese, is served in a large room converted from an old stable.
Bernardo's sister, Maddalena, produces good Bardolino wine, which guests can enjoy in the reading corner.
The 16th century building consists of the main villa, the rustic outbuildings and the old porch, all surrounded by a well-kept park with age-old trees and a scenic waterway.
