A charming old country home perched on the hillside and surrounded by our vineyards, forests, and the stunning Lessinia Regional Park. 

Enjoy a relaxing vacation here as you taste our organic Valpolicella wines in the evocative atmosphere of the ancient Bottaia or in the shade of an olive tree. Come discover one of our wine-tasting menus at our "Massimago in Cucina" Restaurant, which will give you a unique culinary experience where wine and food are paired to perfection.

The accommodation

Massimago Wine Relais is surrounded by forests, 1200 centuries-old olive trees, towering cypress trees and long rows of grapevines soaking up the golden sunshine. 

All the rooms are original and furnished with antique furniture belonging to Massimago's family throughout the generations. 

Massimago has a beautiful outdoor pool with one of the most stunning views of the Mezzane Valley, as well as a winding path that leads guests through vineyards and forests as they make their way to the top of our hill, passing squirrels and wild blackberries along the way.

Activities and surrounding

Massimago, which gets its name from ancient Latin (Maximum Agium, or "maximum wellness"), began as a winery and has belonged to the Cracco family since 1883.
Every-day life at the estate takes place within its 18 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees. 

Our guests have the chance to participate first-hand in experiences tied to the grape and olive harvests, truffle hunting, and our synergic vegetable garden.

Massimago is located East of Verona, just a few km away from the city of Romeo and Juliet, and close to Soave's Medieval castle as well as the stunning Lessinia Regional Park. Denominated as a city of oil and wine, Mezzane belongs to the captivating "Strade del Vino" (the Wine Road).

The property organizes walks, wine tastings, themed dinners and customized events.

Very good
it's a great place to stay with a very friendly staff. The rooms are beautiful. There's a bar next to the swimming pool where you can order drinks. The wines they make are great and you really have to join the wine tasting and wine tour.
