The holiday farm is located in a small and ancient village in the province of Verona: Ronchi, which is in the North Eastern part of the Valpolicella area, between the Squaranto Valley and the Di Marcellise Valley.
The holiday farm is on the top of a gently rolling hill where the landscape stretches as far as the eye can see and from where there is a view of the beautiful city of Verona and of the famous and ancient vineyards of the Valpolicella area. The owners will be happy to guide you through a wine tasting experience of the barrique-aged wines they produce. The wine is kept in the fascinating cellars of the wine producing company Baltieri.
Andrea and Elena will also be able to advise you on the best taverns and country style restaurants where you can discover traditional dishes of Verona and the Valpolicella area. The farm holiday is located in an area particularly suitable for all types of tourism; in fact guests can relax inside the holiday farm or can visit the old town centre of Verona which is only a short distance away. In Verona guests can admire the beautiful monuments or watch the most famous Opera performances in the suggestive Arena of Verona, the only open theatre in the world.
The Exhibition Centre of Verona, which is only 20 minutes away, houses important international events such as a wine exhibition, agricultural show and horse show. A few kilometres from Verona you can visit important cities such as Vicenza and the Palladian Villas, Venice, Mantua and Ferrara. Guests can also admire romantic sunsets at Lake Garda or have fun at the water parks (Caneva), thermae (Terme di Sirmione o di Colā di Lazise) or at Gardaland, the most famous amusement park in Italy. Lessinia (regional park) offers mountain lovers breathtaking views, enchanting walks and snow capped mountains in winter for enterprising skiers.
