There are few moments during the day, when we take our time to relax a little. It's the aim of Locanda del Picchio to offer you the holiday you are looking for.

Locanda del Picchio is made for those who like to spend a relaxing holiday in the midst of the Abruzzo countryside, not far from the sea, with a marvellous panorama view on the sea as well as on the mountains. The location has an own restaurant with vegetable garden, 3 large rooms and 5 tastefully furnished apartments with all comfort.

The accommodation

We offer tastefully furnished 5 studio flats with modern, functional kitchen, bed, sofa, private bath, and 3 double rooms with annexed baths with shower and all comforts.

Rooms and apartments furnished in country style with panorama view on the valley guarantee a pleasant holiday in Abruzzo. The location also offers disabled rooms.

RELAXING AT THE POOL

The location with sea view disposes of a large 7000 square meters garden, a pool with children’s area and whirlpool and finally a children’s play area. All this in the Abruzzo countryside.

ORGANIC RESTAURANT

Part of Locanda del Picchio is also an organic restaurant, which offers dishes prepared with typical products of the region, some of them from its own vegetable garden. Dishes are accompanied by a fine selection of natural wines.

We are guided by the principle that we have to convince all our guests of the importance of good and healthy food not with words but simply with our delicious dishes. We have decided to use ingredients first of all from our vegetable garden or organically grown products (which haven’t been treated with any synthetic materials). This choice is for health, ethics and quality. Cultivating our vegetable garden makes us feel in harmony with our beautiful region and the changing of the seasons and determines our taking care of the products of our soil. To complete our food and wine offer to a large extend we have chosen local producers of mainly natural wines and handmade food. They too are tradition-bound and pay close attention to the quality of the final product and are against any kind of mystification of what we eat.
