Via Beauregard, 29, Aosta 11100 Aosta (Aosta)
This very recent (July 2011) family-run agriturismo sits on the Aosta hillside, surrounded by vineyards. Wellness zone with swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna.
Two minutes from the centre of Aosta and cableway to the ski slopes of Pila.
Own produce served for breakfast.
The five guest rooms are located in three small cabins separate from the main building, amidst the property's vineyards. They all have private bathroom, hairdryer, independent pellet (wood) stove, and accommodate 2, 3 or 4 people, with the possibility of adding a small bed; one room has facilities for the disabled.
Sweet and savoury breakfasts made from our own, genuine produce are served in the main building, which also has a TV room.
A wellness centre with outdoor heated pool, spa, outdoor barrel sauna heated by a wooden stove regenerates and relaxes guests after a day of skiing.
Aosta, with its archaeological finds and historic monuments dating back to the Roman era, is only 3 minutes away.
Almost all tourists visiting the valley take a trip to the medieval castles and Fort Bard.
Gran Paradiso National Parkoffers an environment where flora and fauna remain uncontaminated. A visit to the Pré-Saint-Didier thermal baths is a must.
Sports enthusiasts can take their pick from skiing, rafting, mountaineering, sport climbing and hikes through the side valleys.
Passing through but a lovely overnight stop.
Room clean tidy and alpine.
Breakfast: simply one of the best on our 3 week tour of many towns & cities in N Italy. Davide's choices for local meats and cheeses were perfect, his torta excellent (flavour yet not too sweet) and lovely honey.
Would thoroughly recommend to anyone passing through as we were. I can't really comment on the area, but we did visit Aosta which seems a lovely town with some great Roman remains. The layout and gates make it easier to imagine imperial times here in the high passes
We stayed with four children at this wonderful family run agriturismo and loved everything about our stay. Our hosts, David and Emanuela, were extremely inviting and make it feel like home in their lovely place.
Accommodations are private and comfortable. We did not expect Emanuela to keep our rooms every day.
The breakfast were plentiful with a delicious fresh baked cake each morning. Full kitchen availability was a plus. Conveniently located near town center with spectacular views of the mountains and the valley. We even got to enjoy helping with the grape harvest. We highly recommend this place. Great for families with children.
What to say .. just wonderful .. beautiful rooms, the owners great people, super Valdaostan breakfast, clean, sauna and whirlpool top with mountain views ... From back there every year.
