The agriturismo
The ancient agricultural estate Giardino dei Melograni is immersed in the green countryside of Salento, a few km from Gallipoli, with panoramic sea views. The structure is isolated and surrounded by greenery, the sea is only 300 meters away and can be reached on foot by steps carved into the rock. The farm produces honey and fruit.
The accommodation
The farmhouse offers three different types of accommodation. **Torre Alto Lido** a 15th century coastal watchtower, located in the most panoramic point of the Ionian coast and equipped with a terrace, with a spectacular 360 degree view of the Gulf of Gallipoli-Taranto. Restored and furnished in respect of its centuries-old history, it is about 500 meters from the main structure. The entire independent property is rented, even for short periods: privacy is total; it is therefore ideal for two people looking for peace and privacy. It consists of a cool bedroom with vaulted ceilings and a small toilet with shower on the first floor, while on the ground floor there is an entrance-living room with equipped kitchenette and dishwasher in the garden. **Masterly villa** dating back to the 19th century, built with vaulted ceilings and recently restored, inside it is rented a spacious room of 16 sqm with bathroom and private equipped kitchen. At guests' disposal also a magnificent veranda overlooking the marina of Santa Maria al Bagno. **Casa Colonica** also dates back to the 1800's; inside there are two independent studios with two and three beds, all with private veranda. It is ideal for couples who prefer greater living comfort. The farm managers live in the accommodation on the upper floor. All solutions are equipped with fully equipped kitchenette, therefore breakfast is not provided. Linen is on request.
Activities and surrounding
At guests' disposal also a large private garden-park. Balsamic air of Aleppo pines for people who love the countryside and tranquility. The farmhouse is only 300 meters from the sea, reachable on foot by a flight of steps carved into the rock (sneakers are required for the walk). The area is ideal to enjoy all the natural, architectural and artistic wonders that Salento offers.
