The agriturismo

This 216 hectare farm's traditional farmhouse stands on a series of olive tree covered plateaus overlooking the sea, in unspoilt landscape near a beautiful pine grove. 

The vegetable garden produce and the fresh baked bread from the wood burning oven make a holiday on this estate truly special.

The accommodation

The agriturismo offers 9 guest apartments, one of which is suitable for disabled guests.All apartments are air conditioned and comprise a double bedroom, lounge with double sofa bed, kitchenette with sink, electric hob, extractor, fridge and chest of drawers, a table for six, a  typical open fireplace (with an ancient olive trunk mantelpiece), a bathroom with shower and a utility room with cupboard.The hand decorated doors and double views – the sea to the front and the garden to the rear – make these apartments highly desirable.

 

You can also dine in the restaurant next to the reception area (exclusively for guests, booking required):the setting is spacious and includes a small lounge area and open fireplace.

Activities and surrounding

Within a 30 km radius, guests can visit the historic centres of Roseto Capo Spulico, Oriolo and Rocca Imperiale and visit Frederick castles, the Corigliano Calabro ducal castle, the San Marco byzantine temple and the Patire Sanctuary in Rossano, the Sibari remains and the Sibari, Amendolara, Policoro and Metaponto archaeological museums, as well as the Sassi di Matera cave dwellings, 100 km away.

For those who love beautiful scenery, the Raganello Gorges, the Fiumara del Saraceno torrent, the cyclopean walls of Paludi and the Pollino National Park, with its rare Bosnian pine grove, are truly unforgettable sights.The Grotta delle Ninfe (the Nymphs’ Cave) in Cerchiara di Calabria is the perfect place to relax.
