The agriturismo

The ancient stone country home has been skilfully renovated and is found in an enchanting farm with 200 hectares, above the plane of the Calore River: here guests may find romanticism, relaxation, and good cooking, enjoying the peacefulness of the countryside.

All common rooms have flooring with river stones, which lends its name to this farm.

The accommodation

The rooms, independent and with equipped bathroom, are found on the first floor and were conceived for comfort that is normally found in top-quality hotels (Wi-Fi, luggage rack, water boiler, air conditioning, memory foam cushions, courtesy basket, blow dryer...).

 

Breakfast is served on the ground floor, while in the restaurant located in the former stables guests may enjoy their half or total meal plan.

We offer everyone a reception hall with fireplace and parlour, plus another smaller parlour also with a fireplace. Outside we have private parking, garden, hot tub and covered patio with sofa. The pool, open in the summer, is about 1.5 km from the farm.

Activities and surrounding

The property is quite large and offers many trails to travel on foot or by bike along the river and near the small lake where you can watch many kinds of birds, plus the 8th-century hunting playhouse with its private pool only for our guests.

8 km away is the town of Benevento with its Trajan Arch, Lombard Church of Santa Sofia with cloister, Roman amphitheatre, and the Hortus Conclusus given to the town by the artist Mimmo Paladino. 26 km away you can easily reach Pietralcina, the hometown of Saint Pio and the ruins of the Roman town of Aeclanum.

The nicely restored farmhouse is situated in between grain fields, vineyards and olive trees and and gives you already a positive vibe on arrival via a small dirt road. Marcella is a welcoming and efficient host, and turns out to be a great cook in the evening.
