Via Zatri, 3 , 80067 Sorrento (Naples)
The agriturismo is a welcoming place, strategically placed halfway between the Sorrento peninsula (10 km) and the Amalfi coast (8 km).
In an enchanting natural scenario, the agritourism centre is situated in the Sorrento hills with a breath-taking view over the beautiful Bay of Naples.
Relaxation and tradition are the keywords for describing what Maria, Pasquale and their family offer the guests.
The two rooms available to the guests have a private terrace with views over the Sorrento Peninsula and the Bay of Naples, bathroom with shower, independent air-conditioning, minibar, hairdryer, linen, and television.
The restaurant is housed in what was once a stable, recently renovated in keeping with the original forms and materials, using limestone that has faced the walls of the room for around 400 years. Simple but welcoming, the living room is divided into two areas: the dining room and a sitting room with fireplace, with an old oil mill in the centre.
The large, well-organised kitchen is situated at the end of the farmhouse, and offers traditional local dishes using high quality raw materials.
The gardens, vegetable gardens and farm allow guests to take part in recreational and educational activities. Private car park.
Inside the agriturismo, the guests can take part in educational visits showing production of the farm’s own extra-virgin olive oil, taste its caciottina cheese, produced with fresh milk from the farm’s cows, or watch seasonal fruit and vegetables being picked and harvested.
The area in which the farm is set displays a wealth of natural treasures. The Lattari mountain range is part of a well-known natural park with paths for trekking, which lead to the tip of the Sorrento peninsula: Positano, Amalfi, and Massa Lubrense.
The nearness of the sea offers guests the chance to practise various sports: sea kayaking, diving, fishing, and swimming. Lovers of history can admire the archaeological excavations of Pompei, Stabia, Oplonti and Herculaneum, and the Museo Nazionale Archeologico in Naples.
The Sorrento peninsula is full of pubs, discos, piano bars, and other clubs and bars. It is also the venue for classical music festivals in Sorrento and Ravello. All the places mentioned above are between 15 and 40 minutes’ drive away (and can also be reached by public transport).
└ la carte
Agriturismo Le Grotelle is an incredible farm experience with the most gracious hosts Pasquale and Maria. The farm and it's hotel rooms are cozy and rustic with a great view of Sorrento from the Sant Agata area. The food is beyond incredible as it is ZERO kilometer farm to table, fresh as can be and abundant. Everything you eat and drink comes from the farm. We've stayed there 6 nights and ate there all but one night, and we will be back as they are like "family" now, it was incredible! The drive down the hill is hard for only the first time, then all is well.....
We had a great time on our stay here. Pasquale and Maria were lovely hosts, very welcoming and friendly, and made sure we felt comfortable.
The room is simple but has everything you need, and there's a gorgeous view from the balcony. The farm itself is very peaceful, and is perched on a cliff high above Sorrento, and you can find some amazing views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius if you go for a walk around the farm.
The food was exceptional - there was lots of it and the fresh pasta was particularly good. I'm a vegetarian and they had no problems catering for me.
We would definitely return!
We were for the second time in this great agriturismo and felt comfortable all around. The fascinating landscape with its hiking possibilities, the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom, the good food and especially the warm hospitality of the whole family have again contributed to a great holiday experience. The extensive breakfast and the varied food in the restaurant are something special. Thank you Bernd and Ingeborg with Filou
