First of all I thank you for your review, because all the (reasonable…) reviews help us improve ourselves. Maybe you have misunderstood the difference between an agriturismo and a hotel. We are always available from H. 8:00 until H. 21.30, but it’s obvious that after we are closed, so we have to pay a person to wait for you. This is why we mentioned in the email about the € 50. In any case, you haven’t been charged of € 50 because you decided not to come in the evening, but the next day in the morning.
The next day you came by taxi, saying that you don’t want to rent a car (even if it was a rainy day). I’ve advised you to rent a car because in this area the public transportation doesn’t work properly and you might have difficulties to walk and visit the surroundings ( specially under the rain) . Unfortunately I can’t do nothing to change the situation of the public transportation and of rain……
In our first mail to you, we mentioned that the room available it’s situated at 500 meters away from the farmhouse and we’ve sent you even the map from here to there. It’s a room situated in an ancient Italian mansion, reconditioned to suits with our guests requests. It’s obvious that we’ve tried to maintain as many unique features of the XVIII century as possible (including terracotta floor which may seem dirty for an inexperienced eye…).
In the private wardrobe situated in the little hall close the bedroom there are some my clothes, with disappointing behavior you rummaged inside… The room cannot be locked: this was the habit in the ancient Italian mansions, but you can lock however the main entrance.
For dinner we always have a fixed menu: appetizer, first dish of pasta, second dish of meat and vegetables, fruit and dessert, but in case someone wants to have a light dinner we can adapt, otherwise we serve all dishes. The same about the wine bottle, we open it few minutes before serving, but if you ask, you can have a closed bottle.
The idea of the agriturismo it’s to offer as many own products as possible, so for breakfast we prepare several cakes, our homemade marmalades, the fruits from our garden. But the other things that we don’t prepare in our kitchen it’s obvious that we have to buy (like honey, butter, yogurt, milk, cheese and salami). We also put at our guest disposal moka coffee which is free and only the biological coffee pods are on payment.
The second day, after breakfast, when you saw the rainy day you realized that it’s not possible to stay here one week without car and you decided to go away. Instead of charging you for all the period that you might have stayed, I’ve only made you pay half of the bill (and this you forgot to mention in your review….).
Unfortunately you had a bad experience here and you draw your own conclusions without even visit the farmhouse, only by staying here one rainy evening .
