The agriturismo

The agritourism Le Torri di Slivia is located on the Karst, on the outskirts of Trieste, in a strategic position that allows you to quickly reach the most important points of interest in the region and in Slovenia. The city of Trieste and the beach of Sistiana can be easily reached by public transport.

The agritourism has also been chosen by the Ministry of Agriculture to promote Italian agritourism as the protagonist of a web series.

Not to be missed are the guided tour of the cave (an underground route among thousand-year-old stone towers) and the tractor trip (Agribus).

The accommodation

The structure of the farmhouse has been obtained from what was once the stable of the house.

Stone and wood are the main elements that characterize this small farmhouse respecting the popular architecture of the Karst. The four rooms are all equipped with independent access and private bathroom.

At the service of the rooms is available a large parking lot located within the courtyard of the farm.

The convenience of being close to the main roads combines here with the tranquility of a unique and welcoming landscape.

Activities and surrounding

The Karst and Trieste offer many places of interest, including castles, caves, paths, museums. The Karst is not only the point of fusion between the Mediterranean scrub and the continental climate, but also the meeting place of different ethnic groups and cultures that have crossed and inhabited these places over the centuries.

The farmhouse that hides a cave

The Grotta delle Torri di Slivia (Slivia's Towers Cave ) is located within the farmhouse property and at the end of the 19th century was considered one of the three queens of the Karst. Equipped for tourism in the 1960s, it remained hidden from the eyes of visitors for forty years and is now the only Italian tourist cave directly managed by a holiday farm. What makes the visit even more adventurous and special is the tractor ride (Agribus) that takes visitors to the entrance of the cave.
