The agriturismo
Clauiano, the company's headquarters, has been one of the most beautiful villages in Italy since 2004. The cultivation of vines has been practiced in these places since Roman times, but the Ariis family, of Carnic origin, bought house and agricultural property in 1867, the year of the longed-for annexation of these lands to the Kingdom of Italy.
The accommodation
Recently the Agricultural Activity has joined the Agritourism Activity, with the modality of the B & B. In the main house we offer 5 rooms for 9 beds. The rooms and services recently renovated, but furnished with period furniture and the large and ancient garden offer, for those who stay, a charm and tranquility of the past. Beyond the garden, 3 Haflinger horses in full freedom in the paddock, are attached in pairs, at the request of customers, for carriage rides through the vineyards and in the picturesque surroundings of the village. Clauiano, home of the company, has entered since 2004, to be part of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The cultivation of vines is practiced in these places since the Roman age (agri d 'Aquileia), but the Ariis family, of Carnic origin, bought home and agricultural property in 1867, year of the longed annexation of these lands to the Kingdom of Italy. Now it is led by Aldo Ariis who uses the most modern technologies with passion and competence. Niche production (around 3 hectares of vines)! It reaches, in the various qualities, among white wines (FRIULANO- ex tocai, SAUVIGNON), reds (REFOSCO dpr, CABERNET franc, MERLOT, CABERNET sauvignon) and a pleasant sparkling wine the "BRUT ARIIS", about 20.000 bottles. In front of the vines, to guarantee non-invasive chemical treatments in the vineyards, beekeeping is practiced that allows the sale of special honeys, habit and pride of the owner. The Cellar, called in the dialect "foladors", like all in this area, of past but frequent floods, is located on the ground and next to the house. It has recently been renovated in the reception area and offers opportunities for tastings, meetings, conferences and all kinds of events.
Activities and surrounding
In the park connected to the garden you can admire three beautiful Haflinger horses in complete freedom in the paddock. It is possible to book carriage rides among the vineyards and in the suggestive surroundings of the village. The niche production (about 3 hectares of vineyards) in various qualities, including white and red wines and a pleasant sparkling wine the "BRUT ARIIS", about 20,000 bottles. Hi, my name is LAURA and I am 78 years old.
This is me and my husband, ALDO
I have been managing Casa Ariis since 2011 along with my husband.
As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops, we rear the animals.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
According to the guests, the best thing about our agriturismo is the location.
