The agriturismo

Farmhouse built in 1904 entirely with the stones of the homonymous river that flows at 500 meters; ideal place to spend a period of true relaxation in contact with the uncontaminated nature, the silence, the pure air. The large fenced garden, the barbecue and the wood-burning oven available for customers, make it a structure particularly suitable for groups of friends or families, each of which can 'stay in their apartment, and then gather in the large garden with tables and swimming pool (summer) or gather in the living room of the apartment called "IL Magazzini". Numerous farmyard animals enliven the living room, and show even the smallest children how life in the countryside should have been until not so long ago.

Activities and surrounding

Guests can relax at the farmhouse enjoying the surrounding nature, take long walks on the banks of the river Paglia, or visit the area discovering small and medium towns or cities of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. There are, in fact, many tourist-cultural and naturalistic places that can be reached from the Il Paglia holiday farm. Located in the extreme northern tip of Tuscia Viterbo is particularly convenient to reach the Val D'Orcia and the historic sites of Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni, or climb the slopes of Mount Amiata, where, in summer you can enjoy the cool of the beech forests, while in winter you can practice various winter sports. Equally close is the province of Grosseto, with its splendid villages of Pitigliano, Sorano (where recently built thermal baths are also active) and the ancient village of Sovana, birthplace of Pope Gregory VII. Orvieto is the nearest Umbrian village, a place where you can admire many historical and artistic sites, including the beautiful cathedral, which appears from afar along the provincial road that leads from Acquapendente to the village of Etruscan origin. Among the many places near the Paglia, it is worth mentioning Civita di Bagnoregio, the so-called "dying city", a village that, almost uninhabited in past decades, is being reborn for its unique features. Isolated on a rocky spur, it stands out for the total absence of cars, splendid preservation of the medieval town planning and absolute tranquility. The lake of Bolsena is just 15 km away, it is a lake entirely for swimming, the largest volcanic lake basin in Europe and with the many countries that overlook it is possible to devote a full day to its exploration. from the port of the anonymous city is also possible to reach the two islands that emerge in the middle of the lake, one of which, having hosted a monastery, has recently been made visitable. From the farm you can reach the spa San Filippo or San Casciano dei Bagni, with which there is a convection with subsidized prices.
