The agriturismo
On the Etruscan hill of Riello, in the enchanting setting of Tuscia Viterbese, the agriturismo dominates the 17-hectare farm of medicinal herbs and poacea.
The agriturismo is surrounded by a well tended olive grove (which produces an excellent extra-virgin olive oil) and a garden redolent with thyme, where guests can spend many a pleasant hour in total relaxation.
The accommodation
The agriturismo was created following the restoration of some old farmhouses, a testament to the area’s rural history. The accommodation facility, which stands right outside the boundary walls of Viterbo, is a typical example of 16th century rural architecture, erected following an agricultural reform at the behest of Cardinal Niccolò Ridolfi.
The building covers three floors: the ground floor has a large sitting room with kitchenette, finely furnished and equipped, where guests can have breakfast. The upper floors are home to the comfortable bedrooms with panoramic views — Superior with a double and single bed, Classic with a choice of single or double beds — all with wood slatted bases and memory mattresses, period furnishings, complete with LCD TV and private bathroom with hairdryer and linens.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is an excellent starting point for excursions on foot, by bike, motorbike or car, on the discovery of festivals, markets etc.; it is less than 3 km from the Terme dei Papi and 2 km from the walls of Viterbo, 2.5 km from the old town centre, 600 m from the bus stop from the centre of Viterbo. The area includes shopping malls, tennis courts, gyms and swimming pool, bars, restaurants, grocery shops and other services.
