Via Fossa dei Carboni di Sopra, 7, Sant'Ilario 16167 Genoa (Genoa)
The agriturismo is just a short distance from the centre of Genoa and close to the Portofino peninsula.
The property includes a garden nestled among citrus trees, aromatic herbs and lavender bushes, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views of the sea.
The agriturismo offers guest accommodation in 8 twin rooms, 4 of which enjoy sea views.
Guests also have access to the large swimming pool and green space overlooking the sea, with tables and chairs for enjoying an aperitif or two, along with the farm’s organic produce.
There is a play area with a small football pitch, swing and slide.
The agriturismo enjoys an excellent location for access to the nearby beaches and to Genoa’s historic centre and aquarium (Acquariodi Genova). Its proximity to the Portofino peninsula makes the agriturismo the ideal starting point for excursions.
From spring to autumn, there are boats from Nervi marina direct to Camogli, San Fruttuoso di Camogli, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure and the Cinque Terre. With the exception of San Fruttuoso (accessible only by sea or on foot), these destinations are also accessible by train from Nervi station or by car.
We have spent 4 days, each one is taking care of everything to make your stay pleasant.
The bedding is comfortable. The home cooking is delicious. The view is magnificent.
The only disadvantage is the access to the top of a hill without the possibility of parking nearby.
Very attractive price-quality ratio

We visited Taverno del Sole in early October, the end of season. We had visited agrotourism venues before so we had high expectations. On arrival we were shown to our room and given the keys. No welcome or welcome pack available. Our room as expected was basic but was very very tired. The sheets and bedding and pillows all were very faded and old, new ones needed. The breakfast was limited to bread, cereals or egg. No cheese or cold meats. The previous night(s) cake was also available. The evening meals were fine but the menu was solely in Italian, little attempts to welcome none Italian speakers.
On the positive side the location is very good with fantastic sea views, the pool, had it been warm enough, would be great. However the pool was in need of a good clean. Had the accommodation been offered to us in our home country we would not have stayed. Maybe it was just end of season for them but it was just not good enough. Sorry
