Located in the historic center of Torre Paponi, a small medieval village surrounded by ancient olive groves behind San Lorenzo al Mare, the farm is an old manor house of about 1400, finely restored while retaining the original architectural features: this is why, through its door, it seems to go back centuries.
The guest apartments are equipped with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, terrace, well-kept furniture, Wi-Fi and HD TV with free satellite platform.
On the ground floor you can taste the fine olive oil DOP Taggiasca
(of the Ligurian Riviera) and other typical products of the area. The ancient and suggestive cellars house a small but fascinating museum of the jar.
Ancient house located in the historic center of Torre Paponi, a small medieval village surrounded by ancient olive groves behind San Lorenzo al Mare.
The village, characterized by stone houses and typical Ligurian alleys, is only 5 km from the sea and can be reached via the provincial road to Pietrabruna.
The lodgings have been obtained from an ancient patronal house of the 1400's, skilfully restored to leave unchanged the authentic architectural characteristics; it is for this reason that, crossing its door, it will seem to go back in the centuries: through the maintenance of the floors and of the wall surfaces, the restoration of the original fixtures and the exclusive use of recovered architectural material, we wanted to preserve and protect those signs of peasant life sedimented in the plasters to jealously guard the heart and the soul of this place. The house is composed of TWO "GERANIO" and "ROSETTA" Lodgings on the first and second floor; the old cellars are now used as product sales rooms and as a museum of the jar.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is located in Torre Paponi, a place that the provincial president Arch. Roberta Cento Croce, on the occasion of the Day FAI described as follows: "...Torre Paponi is a small village, indeed very small. Intimate as a warm and welcoming house, true as the mirror of our history, beautiful as those things to which we devote our most affectionate attention. Torre Paponi opens its discreet doors and we discover a place where the work of art, which is not lacking, takes a step back: why there "art? are the austere houses collected in clusters and the territory permeated by the work of man: the art still guides the hand of those who care for the precious good that is his home, his street, his country, fighting against the disease of degradation, abuse and neglect of the environment ...".
The company is only 5 km from San Lorenzo al Mare, Blue Flag 2015. The San Lorenzo Valley is also worth discovering with its many small villages rich in ancient treasures and surrounded by centuries-old olive groves on the traditional "maxei"? (terraces) in dry stone walls.
