The agriturismo
Located in a peaceful part of the hamlet of Bastia, just 3 km from the sea and near popular tourist and nature spots, the complex is built around a large courtyard, and comprises the main house, the wine cellar and the guest accommodation, crowned with Ghibelline battlements.
Guests can sample farm produce, such as the extra virgin olive oil made from Taggiasca olives and the Riviera Ligure di Ponente D.O.C. wine.
The accommodation
The cosy apartments, built inside the old walls of the hamlet, are reminiscent of old Ligurian houses, with marble features and stone vaulted ceilings. The apartments comprise spacious terraces, bathrooms, kitchenettes, TVs, heating, hairdryers, bed linen and towels and courtesy breakfast produce.
There is also a sundeck on one of the many terraces, offering beautiful views of the hamlet and the Albenga plain. The family who own the farm have always grown a selection of typical local vines – Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Granaccia – using their grapes to produce organic wines, in keeping with local tradition.
Activities and surrounding
As well as its Pigato wine, the region is also known for its spiny artichoke, trumpet zucchini, oxheart tomato, purple asparagus and other delicacies which the owners will be happy to recommend. Tasting of farm produce and tours of the estate are also available on request.
Albenga has the best preserved historic centre on Liguria’s Riviera di Ponente, along with crystal clear waters and beautiful beach resorts. The Via Julia Augusta, an ancient Roman road connecting Albenga to Alassio, is a wonderful route to explore.
Nearby you’ll find popular seaside resorts such as Alassio, Loano and Laigueglia, and places rich in nature and history, such as the Lerrone Valley, with its restored old hamlets dotted around its golf courses (Garlenda). A cycle track takes you to the Arroscia valley and Pieve di Teco. Off the coast you’ll find Gallinara Island, while Ceriale is home to a Water Park with swimming pools and slides.

We spent 3 nights in this very nice and cozy farmhouse, welcomed by a very kind and caring family. Houses in rustic Ligurian style very beautiful furnished with antique wooden furniture and marble. Embellished with beautiful succulent plants. genuine and abundant breakfast.
