The accommodation
The accommodation is at the heart of our 25 hectare farm where we grow grain for generations.
The farmhouse is a small bastion of the past right in the center of the village. Around it you can enjoy the most authentic Padan landscape with its unique and unique charm: the calm and flat countryside, the mulberry rows, the terraced hut, the park with secular trees, the church in front.
On the first floor, the large room with fireplace welcomes a double bed. The painted ceiling carries the traces of a fresco from the late sixteenth century. The terracotta floor is also original from the end of the sixteenth century.
The modern bathroom with shower and iron sink overlooks the surrounding countryside. Free TV and wi-fi in the room.
Always on the first floor a bright suite with double bedroom and living room. The bedroom, with a fireplace, is completely frescoed and in order not to interfere with the frescoes, a modern iron and glass element has been created, which includes the bathroom with large shower and iron sink. The floor, with its red wax patina as it used in the past, is of the sixteenth century origin.
Also the living room with sofa, table, coffee table and TV is equipped with a fireplace, above which there are layers of later frescoes that start from the sixteenth century until the early twentieth century. It is worth noting the laziness found during the restoration work on the vineyard behind and on the mulberry rows where once the silkworms were raised.
THE TOWER
On the second floor, a double bedroom with the windows overlooking the hay. Plasters and floors are original in the sixteenth century. Here the plasterers still display the signatures of the displaced by the war. The bathroom-turret thanks to its large windows offers a spectacular view of the countryside.
LA MANSARDA
A 75-square-meter suite occupies the spaces of the ancient barn. The floor is in shaped iron strips, the wood ceiling whitewashed with original beams. Even here, the large bathroom has been redecorated into a modern module that does not alter the mansard structure in any way. Two sofas with tv, and an old dining table retrieved during the works complete the furnishing.
THE RESTAURANT
Here lies the Mantuan cuisine according to a family tradition that we have been referring to for generations. In the old wooden oven, bread and succulent roasts are bake. In the large fireplace during the summer they flush on the bright salamanders, ribs and pork chops.
The dishes are accompanied by the typical wines of the area: the j mantovano, the whites Garda Colli Morenici obtained from chardonnay and sauvignon grapes; The classic method Spumante and Lugana.
