The agriturismo
Relaxation and hospitality according to the Italian "savoir faire". A challenge launched by the owner family, with the transformation of a farmhouse of the '900 used as an ancient dwelling by farmers for the processing of rice, subjected to meticulous restoration, which have renewed every corner and every environment, making it the farm some children.
The accommodation
For lovers of rural cuisine, Cascina Corte Grande is a must. In the fixed menu of the weekends that we modify weekly, you can taste the specialties based on rice, whose condiments are the basis of a modern gastronomic experimentation that refers to the ancient recipes of mondine such as braised meat, rediscover their ancient origins culinary dishes that refer us to the party dishes that farmers could afford twice a year. Appetizers based on salami D.o.p di Varzi, Mortara goose sausages, fresh and aged cheeses served with the best jams and mustards, are proposed with vegetable side dishes from our fields.
Corte Grande welcomes you in comfortable and functional rooms. You can choose between double rooms, apartments and wooden chalets. The living spaces are all equipped with antique furniture, TV, fridge, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Bath towels and courtesy are provided by the company.
Every morning from 8:00 to 10:30 our guests can enjoy a hearty and genuine breakfast. Bread baked in a wood oven, cakes, biscuits, yoghurt, but also savory delights such as cheese and salami. And of course fruit, juices and our jams. On request we also prepare dishes based on eggs or other ingredients also without gluten.
Children:
An educational farm is a farm where "active" educational activities are promoted, in which a program linked to the experimentation of the 5 senses and the knowledge of the agricultural reality is implemented. In accordance with this line of thought, the activities proposed by our structure focus on the logic of the game and on the idea of education as a natural process of evolution of the child through experience in the environment. The activities proposed to the schools involve children and young people of any age to experiment, through different types of educational workshops, from those of manipulation to recreational and recreational, a new way to know nature and learn its mysterious secrets. The typical day in Cascina starts in the morning and can include a meal on the farm with a simplified menu, a picnic lunch or a picnic under the portico or, in spring, on the green fields of our lands. After the workshops the day ends in the early afternoon.
